About me

I was born on 10th January 1956 in Blackpool, UK. I lived in Penswick Avenue, Cleveleys up to summer 1965 and attended Norbreck Primary School.

From summer 1965 we lived in Accra, Ghana where I attended Ridge Church School. Later I attended Ghana International School where I took my 'O' levels, and finally Accra Academy.

In 1975 we returned to the UK and I studied Biochemistry at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). After graduating in 1978, I started a temporary job in the stores at Industrial Cooling Equipment Ltd., Liverpool Road, Manchester (I.C.E.).

I left I.C.E. in 1983 and tried some freelance work, which ended in August 1985 when I joined Staefa Control System, in Staines, UK. In 1991 I was asked to work at their headquarters in Switzerland.

In April 1991 I married Cheryl, and we have two daughters, Lucinda and Tabitha, born in May 1995 andMarch 1998 respectively.

I worked for Staefa Control System, later Landis & Staefa, later Siemens, until 2006.
