From 1975 to 1978 I studied Biochemistry at UMIST. An interesting period, the department was very different from what it is now, and I had my first contact with computing there (we used a CTL (Computer Technology Ltd) Mod 1.. now to be seen in the North Western Museum of Science and Technology).
I am still in contact with some people from UMIST e.g. Andy Woolf, John Parkinson, but have lost touch with some of the "gang" like Kevin Duffy and Paul Griffith.
